What is Rush?
Rush is a process where male students are exposed to a Fraternity and given information on what the fraternity is about. During the few rush meetings is the time to show a Fraternity you are interested in their Fraternity. Rush meetings are held to show what Fraternity life is all about, to get to know the current brothers, and to answer any questions. Remember, all of the current brothers were in your shoes at one time, so no question is too stupid. Attending a meeting in no way means you are committing to a fraternity. It is encouraged for students to attend all Fraternity rush meetings to choose the Fraternity that is right for you.

Why Join a Fraternity?
As you enter college life, you may say to yourself that you want to be as active as possible. The answer may take form in the basis of a fraternity. Fraternities are an excellent way to meet new and different people. The basis for any fraternity lies in brotherhood. The members, or brothers, in a fraternity are an assemblage of men who strive together to reach a common interest or goal, and have fun as they work together. The fraternity man desires to be more than the average person. He pledges himself to ideals and standards which would pass by if he was not a member of the Greek System. He agrees to concentrate on studies, while serving his college and his fraternity.
Through the experiences of the fraternity, men learn to work together to build life-long friendships. Fraternity men are subjected to working with different types of people which will develop the skills needed to survive in the world after college. The chapter is unique in the placing together of men with varied backgrounds, interests, and capabilities, to live and work together in a democratic unit for the good of the individual, the fraternity, and the college. If you wish to rush for KDR. Please stop by Washington Hall in F3.
